24th January - Slow Growth

Image
I believe these are carrots at the front, and they are taking their time ..... the bok choy meanwhile has pretty much gone past it's usefulness.

23rd January - The Month of January

Image
Slows new days for sure, to be honest just glad I remembered to take a photo.

22nd January - Better Late Than Never

Image
Baking time, delayed due to the birthday person not being there at the time. Pina Colada Cake with Caramel Glaze.

21st January - Up The Mountain

Image
Another overcast humid day, possibly not the best environment to walk up Mt Eden, but a delightful view as always.

20th January - Field Trip

Image
A trip to get the lay of the land in my soon to be new area including a trip over the motorway to the Otara Markets where I have not been before.

19th January - On Duty

Image
Just me so the guest changeover has to be fine. Hopefully I got it right and in acceptable condition.

18th January - Filler

Image
It was a pretty bleak day, grey and rainy, working and home. Hence a picture of one of my bookshelves.

17th January - Bad Weather Friend

Image
It must have been a bad weather night because I heard the jingling of a bell early this morning and then felt this lump land on my bed, and she's veeery choosy and when she decides to come inside.

16th January - New Toy

Image
Sadly not for me, I merely got the joy of picking it up, setting it up, and no doubt will have to troubleshoot it for its lifetime.

15th January - Work vs Colour

Image
I have a mobile next to my desk which when I’m tidy and on top of things I can view it’s delightful colour, but if I get busy and just start piling things on top so I can’t even see underneath anymore I know I have to start getting those things done. Today, half green space.

14th January - Walkies with Jorge

Image
I was promised a spectacular set of lungs and public nuisance ness but "Jorge" was on good behavior today for an afternoon stroll around the park, lulled by the sound of our voices and the gentle rockiness of the pathways. On to bigger and greater public thoroughfares next.

13th January - Down at the boardwalk

Image
Another extremely hot day, and was out in it, trying to walk a new boardwalk at Hobsonville that was in theory open but then actually not open, but there are still plenty of tracks to cover in the meantime, and the boardwalk does look like it'll be pretty nice when it does open

8th January - Actually not BTW

Image
First day back to work for 2018 and I couldn't make it, was feeling rubbish, go it was ginger ale, panadol and nap time for me

12th January - Week end

Image
It's been a long first week back readjusting to working life, but a insanely hot day making it a delightful relaxing time out on the deck

11th January - Tennis at the Classic

Image
A lovely evening for some tennis viewing, so warm even after the sun had gone down.

10th January - This could be a repeater

Image
Going for a walk at lunchtime whenever the weather is semi conduicive to doing so, taking a photo along the way will need to become a habit possibly but hopefully I don't need to end up repeating these too much. This is the weirdest wharf ever built, but people still manage to find it useful.

9th January - Late Summer Vibes

Image
The Pohutukawas are pretty much gone from flower now but the bees are still taking advantage of whatever is still left

7th January - BTW

Image
Time to get back in the work frame of mind ......

6th January - The Bodyguard

Image
Watch dog is on patrol

5th January - The Clean Up

Image
Still pretty bleak outside, but luckily no branches down on my car

4th January - Gloomy View

Image
We should be thankful summer lasted so long without it but the stormy weather has arrived, and makes for a pretty lazy day.

3rd January - More Than Expected

Image
A bit dramatic today, planned just to have a wee stroll in the afternoon sun, but upon arriving to the park where we were meeting up , found out someone had just been standing on the rails on the bridge over the motorway, and had then tied a noose to the rails, but fortunately then wandered off the bridge. Due to multiple calls there was then two police cars, a helicopter, two fire engines and an ambulance on site within a few minutes. Turns out I had also seen the guy walking down the street as we drove in after talking to the others who had seen him on the bridge. The police picked him up and we confirmed their photo for them so they could then get him some help. So a good end thankfully but most unexpected situation!

2nd January - Planning to Plan

Image
Task before going back to work, get my 2018 wall planner filled in and ready to be filled with exciting things to look forward to .......

1st January - 5 Years Later

A beach shot to start out another year of photos
