27th June - #minidoors Part 2

Image
You’ll be glad to that I think I’ve run out of doors after this one . . . .

26th June - #minidoors Part 1

Image
Taking a photo in the morning is meant to help me at least not forget but there’s not really that much to use when it’s wet and freezing and there’s no time.

25th June - Household Visitors

Image
Don’t know if it’s the cold or the rain but these things are finding any hint of sweetness to descend on the kitchen.

24th June - Spring

Image
I’m sure the daffodils wouldn’t lie to me about it being spring already? It was an odd mix of hot sun and clear sky with huge downpours 5mins later while I played hockey so maybe it is true.

23rd June - Northern Perspective

Image
Taking in a walk on a side of the city I don’t think I’ve really visited before. Was a bit different than I expected but a pretty good view point in the end.

22nd June - Personal Space

Image
Someone’s cat doesn’t care that there was no room available he just jumped up and squeezed right on it anyway. But I really dont think they cared.

20th June - Guess the Cuisine

Image
Another team lunch, quite delicious today.

19th June - Whipped Dairy is the Best

Image
Normally my favourite whipped dairy is cream but today feta does a great job of being delicious. Which is not shown in full glory but the terrible food photography. And recipe so simple.

18th June - Labelled

Image
Just some house info. The awkward angle is as it’s so shiny it was like taking a photo in a mirror from front on.

17th June - Not So Many Colours

Image
I thought this might make a good photo, attempting to highlight the colours with filters but it really does not photograph well and as per usual I didn’t take a photo of anything else. I made Macarons which I intended to capture but didn’t have my phone by me as I was going them :( So this is my bruise on a bruise. Stick last Sunday and ball yesterday.

16th June - Mutton Birds

15th June - Morning

Image
I’ve got nothing. Weeks after long weekends are soooo long.

14th June - NSFW

Image
In the early hours of the morning I could hear Clover running round like a loon downstairs which I knew was not going to be a good sign in the “present” department. When I finally came down there was indeed a, thankfully, dead mouse. I had good intentions of picking it up but just couldn’t follow through hence why the plastic bag with a tail and little foot sticking out . . .

13th June - Bare

Image
Barely a leaf left now, really showing the bleakness of winter.

12th June - Winter Perch

Image
I’ve been greeted like this pretty much every morning for the last few weeks now. She’s really found her winter hibernation spot.

11th June - Leaves

Image
Started taking my phone outside when I open the gates and get the paper. Unfortunately it doesn’t really inspire much in the photo taking.

10th June - Making Crystals

Image
The intent of this shot was to show the random growth coming off this figure but iPhone was not cooperating with the macro required. I also really like this black and white filter but that’s also totally besides the point when trying to show blue crystals.

9th June - Tiny Blue Dot

Image
A view of the harbour in the morning but all I can concentrate on is the annoying tiny blue dot.

8th June - Duck Crossing

Image
Perfect day for a quick lunchtime stroll. Count how many ducks you can see.

7th June - Good Asian Dessert!

Image
Asian dessert is generally a miss on the whole but after delicious Japanese dinner tonight the dessert came out and it was amazing. This doesn’t even show everything as it was impossible to fit in one photo. Yummmmmm.

6th June - Mystery Fruit

Image
Came down in the morning and these were randomly sitting there, not entirely sure what they are.

5th June - Visiting Shapes

Image
Dessert was not really photogenic enough so alternative was required. Scandi chic delivers.

4th June - Artistic Preview

Image
Do my boring photos look better in black and white? Also; dessert night preview.

3rd June - River Crossing

Image
Megan’s car taking on her driveway was actually one of the smaller rivers we ended up having to cross to get out of the Miranda flood plains on our journey west.

2nd June - What a Glorious View

Image
Very winding road into Whangamata from Waihi, quite glad I was driving and not passengering. Stopped off at the view point, not much of a view but this was the driest moment for the next 24 hours sadly so I still can’t really say I’ve seen whangamata at all.

1st June - Personification of Joy

Image
Hard to tell if she’s actually loving this but she complains when trying to take her out so assuming it’s a yes.

31st May - Superzoom

Image
Still searching for some frost to try and justify how cold I think it is currently. Almost found it here.
