Emma's Photo a Day 2018

Took a trip, and just still a trip rather than stepping 100m from my front door, to the Food Festival. So many choices I think we spent the most time just wandering trying to decide. Not sure my langos option was the right vibe for the day but I’d randomly been thinking about them the other day so I couldn’t not. Should have spent the afternoon properly packing but just moved more stuff around, cleaned out more stuff from the garage, found a dead rat . . . Fingers crossed for some actual packing on Sunday!

Definitely better photos could be taken of K Rd but not without me being way too obvious about and by this time I was running close to the end of the day deadline anyway. There’s such yum food and good bars down here, but I don’t know why I think of it as such a difficult place to get to.

Tested out my knee on Tuesday and just twisted it more again. So no playing tonight for my actual team and now I need to actually find out what I’ve done as it’s taken too long to fix. 

Not the best before lunch snack but happy to have it.

As I have no bed I’ve had to switch rooms and so back to the view from my window from m my first 12 years of life. Although now the room is also opened up so that I can also see out what was Kirsty’s rooms window.

On one of the colder days in a little while my mum decided to hire an upholstery cleaner and go to town and all the beds mattresses and couches. And yay for me not to have to do it, but nothing is drying fast right now and I won’t have my bed for the next week . . . Open windows, to try and dry, so so cold. 

Was a lovely sunny day for some deck time in Massey, however daylight savings is still to be held out for as there wasn’t much sun time left, but beer was drunk in the sun and kubb was played. Even if George was having to wear his snow suit . . . The cake inspired by the grass saga and the AWW, however less a cake inside and more an intense fudgey brownie . . . But oh well. 

Went to the French markets in the morning where I had a Moroccan crumpet, to leftover dumplings for lunch to Malaysian roti and chicken satay for dinner.

Wisteria is starting to come into bloom also.

Apart from rummaging around in the corners of my room searching for god knows what first, she then settled in and slept the whole night. No bell ringing or early morning hunting trips to go on. Very impressed at her understanding for once.

The trees are looking not quite so barren anymore.

Had to take a little journey over lunchtime today. Points to the person who guesses the view. At least one should, maybe two.  A bit weird that the reflection makes it look like a comet is heading in. 

Looking at this just haves me the need to clean my keyboard.

These felt like a lot more today.

Some days there’s just so many options to choose from that I really should spread things out more. My favourite surprise art of the day was the scent of an iris all these different elements but it would have been impossible to take a photo of. Instead a giant blue painting about someone getting lost. 

What is this thing you’re putting in my face and more importantly why aren’t you just feeding me.

I don’t actually mean to do it to mess with you all, but it was my last tennis club night and I thought a photo of the bell would be good but it was a bit shakey and that was about the quality of my tennis tonight so quite apt.

Such a nice day! Which I wouldn’t have even known if I hadn’t had to go out and do some quick measuring.

Just a few casual things that I’m gathering together. Seeing it like this makes me think it’s not going to fit in where it’s going. Cos I’ve still got my room to go. 

I don’t mind a bit of admin but there’s a bit to do currently and I thought the blinds were sorted but yet again I’m staring at colours.

Will be sad to lose this being in walking distance.

Got to go inside for the first time! Still a bit hard to mentally fit all my stuff into the empty space but the kitchen is nice and big so that’s good.

Love me some real mail. Unfortunately at the moment there’s a horde of snails that seem to live in our mailbox who also love mail . . .

Sadly these have been sitting waiting lonely since our one and only weekend of productivity, really need to get that vibe going again.

This did not turn out as I had hoped, it looked so pretty in real life. Not so much here.

What a difference a day makes, today was not a day to leave the house.

Such a lovely day and I finally made it onto the pink pathway.
