29th November - Déjà Vu

Image
Driving through Mt Eden at dinner time, it’d be rude not to stop and get food. I’m just impressed I had the will to not get some Banoffee Pie.

28th November - Noodling

Image
Although there weren’t actually any noodles consumed at the Night Noodle Markets, the food that was was delicious.

27th November - Crystal Ball

Image
Reading my tea leaves for a look into my future? Although not so many leaves seeing as it was a tea bag

26th November - Moving On Up

Image
The final buildings are rocketing along it seems.

25th November - Leaky

Image
With the BBQ called out from the terrible forecast, the baking got put in the freezer and lunch plans were confirmed instead. It was wise table picking by us as when the skies opened the indoor outdoor section had a slight mishap and there was a lot of water pouring inside.  So we just had to stay for another drink and another few hours. Amazingly by the time I got home it was blue skies. Auckland . . .

24th November - Advance Dessert Prep

Image
In anticipation of shared lunch doing a practise round with a BBQ of testers. The washing up is such a boring part.

23rd November - Black Friday

Image
Got to show the new place to some out of town passers through. No time for photos it seems except the empty bottle once I got back home. Thought I was being smart by going with Sylvia Park for dinner but coming against so. much. traffic. Later realised it was probably mental Black Friday shoppers.

22nd November - Disguise

Image
There would be some great people watching if only I could look out and no one could look in.

21st November - Icing . . ..

Image
I shouldn’t really be complaining about cake, and this one would be much more delicious without the raisins. But the icing more than makes up for it, sooooooo good!

20th November - Level

Image
Potentially taken on an angle cos in my putting them up I didn’t take that much care into if they were level or not . . .

19th November - Stuff

Image
Last minute again. Random assortment of stuff on a shelf that is sort of an unpacking attempt that really needs to be done better.

18th November - Broken

Image
Tragedy struck as I tried to make my mango smoothie as I realised my Magic Bullet was broken :( Thankfully the stick blender came to the rescue.

17th November - Boardwalk

Image
They really should have timed the opening of this boardwalk better for when it wasn’t low tide and the mudflats are in full view. It was quite nice though, even if the whole place is a bit creepy with its Pleasantville vibe, but also quite lovely at the same time.

16th November - High Point

Image
The highlight of my nap, having a 30min nap after getting home from work. Probably would have stayed asleep if I didn’t put an alarm on to open my eyes again.

15th November - Radioactive

Image
This was intended only as my back up photo but I did not realise at the time that I somehow got this creepy green glow added to my tea.

14th November - Secret

Image
Is that a tuk tuk? Why yes it is. Secret dining in Thailand in the middle of Otahuhu.

13th November - Pre Destruction

Image
They’re quite pretty flowers. Pity I want to tear them out.

12th November - Wild

Image
Someone needs to mow their “lawn”

11th November - Dough

Image
Slowly getting some more use, where does the time in the weekend go!

10th November - Back Up

Image
Thank goodness I had another photo and didn’t have to put up the selfie! Also why does the church next door always ring the bells on weekends I want to sleep in but not ring them in the ones I’d quite like the reminder alarm.

9th November - Diwali Take Two

Image
Getting cultural at work today which mainly consisted of a lot of delicious food which is always a good thing I think. My terrible composition and lighting does nothing for how pretty the vibe was and how delicious the food looked.

8th November - Japanesy

Image
Teriyaki chicken is so delicious I should really try make it myself more often. Plum wine is also delicious but I have less desire to make it.

7th November - #HedgeGoals

Image
Just realised that the plant I have at home is the same one as around work, so I hope mine grow up nice and quickly like these ones.

6th November - Survival

Image
I hope whoever/whatever lives in this nest made it somewhere safe

5th November - Symbolic

Image
I presume this is hanging out here for a reason but I can’t find anywhere which says what they might be.

4th November - Hood

Image
I really need to remember not to make my exploratory walks around the new area on Sundays, cos a lot of stuff is not open. Definitely no brunching anywhere in easy walking distance :(

3rd November - Taste

Image
Last time I went to this it seemed a lot more about the food, this time just seemed like a lot of wine. Not that that’s a bad thing. Megan I don’t know if you still have your cricket flour lying around but I can recommend making brownies out of it, quite delicious.

2nd November - Friyay

Image
It seemed like a long week but I suppose that’s what happens when you follow up on a long weekend but then actually that was two weeks ago now . . . Slowly testing out some of the food places near by, this wasn’t too bad but I asked for medium spice and they either didn’t give it to me or it was a bit lacking. Always a bit scared to go for hot though in case it’s too next level.

1st November - Relapse

Image
The team was bare bones tonight so I said I’d come stand on the sidelines. Which meant a bit of playing, which is so hard to do when trying not to turn at all. Mostly succeded until one point I had to run and stop dead and had a wee jolt but I think it recovered ok. Still obviously not better though which is annoying.

31st October - Memories

Image
It’s been ages since I’ve been able to get out for a lunch time walk. Winter and work providing hindrances. Nothing much has changed except maybe more buildings being built in the distance.

30th October - Carbs

Image
I really hope boiling rice wasn’t the highlight of my day but thinking back now nothing else really comes to mind and this is the only photo I have. I’m also not good at cooking rice, I usually go microwave and am used to doing it in a particular container my mum has at home that it never seems to work easily any other way. Maybe cos only making small amounts at a time is not a thing that’s done, you have to feed 10 minimum or something.
